Weatherby Mark V - Carbonmark - 6.5-300 Wby Mag- 26":

The Mark V Carbonmark is a custom built, stunningly-precise rifle ready for any adventure. This carbon barrel is lightweight, accurate, and fast-cooling. Using a 416R stainless steel match barrel roll-wrapped with a carbon fiber sleeve loaded under tension to create strength and reduce overall weight. 95 percent of the carbon fiber does not touch the barrel allowing air to foil around the steel and rapidly cool the barrel, adding rigidity and reducing overall weight. This creates an incredibly strong barrel that dissipates heat very well and provides consistent accuracy with high shot counts. The 5/8x24 threaded barrel accepts a muzzle brake or suppressor to increase your shooting experience. If you are looking for a combination of breakthrough rifle performance and rugged reliability this rifle should already be in your gun safe.

Guaranteed Sub-MoA Accuracy
All Mark V rifles are guaranteed to shoot a 3-shot group of .99 inch or less at 100 yards (SUB-MOA) from a cold barrel when used with Weatherby factory or premium ammunition.

Triggertech Trigger
TriggerTechs trigger provides true zero-creep break, extremely short over-travel, and is externally adjustable. Precision cut stainless steel components ensure consistent trigger pulls from shot to shot in a safe, reliable, and corrosion resistant package.

Accubrake ST
By adding an Accubreak you will significantly reduce felt recoil up to 53 percent

Carbon Fiber Barrel
Lightweight, accurate, and fast-cooling carbon fiber tension-wrapped barrels. 95 percent of the carbon does not touch the barrel allowing air to foil around the steel and rapidly cool the barrel, adding rigidity and reducing the overall weight..

54 Degree Bolt
The shortest in the industry (as compared to typical 90 bolt throw). Allows for faster chambering on follow-up shots and greater bolt-to-scope clearance.

Cerakote Finish
Cerakote is the industry leading thin film ceramic coating. The Cerakote unique formula enhances physical properties including wear, corrosion, and chemical resistance while improving impact strengths, and hardness.

Technical System:

  • Brake / Receiver / Trigger Guard - FDE Cerakote
  • Bolt / Bolt Knob / Safety - Graphite Black Cerakote
  • Black fiberglass stock with grey and tan sponge pattern.

6.5-300 Weatherby Magnum:

The 6.5-300 Weatherby Magnum is a 6.5mm cartridge created by Weatherby in 2016 as its own rendition to the ever-growing 6.5mm long range rifle market. Designed to be in direct competition to the 26 Nosler. Claimed by Weatherby to be the fastest 6.5mm cartridge available. Designed in a similar fashion as other Weatherby cartridges it has a large for caliber case capacity resulting in high velocities. When bullets with high ballistic coefficients are used trajectories are extremely flat, allowing the projectile to retain a significant amount of energy downrange. These attributes make the 6.5-300 quite effective for long range hunting on medium-sized game.

Suggested Use:

  • Predators
  • Small Game
  • Varmint
  • Deer
  • Black Bear
  • Moose (short range)
  • Elk (short range)
  • Target / Competition

Performance:

Bullet mass/type.........................Velocity.......................Energy

127 gr (8 g) LRX 3,531 ft/s (1,076 m/s) 3,516 ft lbf (4,767 J)

130 gr (8 g) Scirocco 3,476 ft/s (1,059 m/s) 3,487 ft lbf (4,728 J)

140 gr (9 g) A-Frame 3,395 ft/s (1,035 m/s) 3,583 ft lbf (4,858 J)

Currently Weatherby is the only manufacturer of rifles chambered in the 6.5-300 Weatherby Magnum, as well as the only current supplier of ammunition. Although cases could be formed from 300 Weatherby brass. Due to the lack of availability of firearms and high cost of factory ammunition this round is currently quite pricey.
