Cadex - CDX-R7 Sheepdog - 6.5 PRC - SSV - 24" :

The CDX-R7 SHP Series are precision rifles designed for shooters who prefer a traditional style stock to chassis systems. These rifles feature Cadexs fully adjustable synthetic stock called the Strike Nuke Evo. The ergonomics of this stock are a great blend between the stability offered by tactical stocks and lightweight hunting stocks. This stock features a built-in aluminum micro-chassis system for improved accuracy. This rifle out of the box will compete with any custom gun.

DX2 Evo single/two stage selectable trigger: The Cadex DX2 Evo trigger is a Double Stage Trigger capable to be rapidly converted into a Single Stage Trigger by its operator. Its trigger pull weight can be easily adjusted between 1.5 to 2.5 lbs. If you havent figured yet if you prefer a Single Stage or Double Stage Trigger, you cant go wrong with the DX2 Evo.


6.5 PRC

The 6.5 Precision Rifle Cartridge was designed to achieve the highest levels of accuracy, flat trajectory and extended range performance in a sensibly designed compact package. Utilizing moderate powder charges that result in repeatable accuracy, low recoil and reasonable barrel life, the 6.5 PRC produces high velocities for target shooting with performance well beyond 1000 yards.

Performance

The 6.5 PRC cartridge is based on the Ruger Compact Magnum case. It has a 0.532-inch rim diameter, a 2.030-inch case length, a 30-degree shoulder and an overall cartridge length of 2.955 inches. Its case capacity is about 28 percent more than the 6.5 Creedmoor, and the 6.5 PRC will push a 143-grain ELD-X bullet to about 2,960 fps. This is 260 fps faster than the 6.5 Creedmoor, which is an increase of about 8 percent. Given its 65,000 psi operating pressure, as compared to 62,000 for the Creedmoor, this is consistent with a velocity gain of about one-fourth the percentage of capacity increase.
