Browning X-Bolt 2 Hunter Composite Stainless - 7mm PRC - 24":

Built for tough environments, the new X-Bolt Hunter Composite Stainless is a rifle ready for adventure.

Like all X-Bolt 2 rifles, the Hunter Composite Stainless is built on a new receiver design with additional bolt guidance surface for smooth, fast cycling. Stainless steel construction minimizes the corrosive effects of weather. The spiral fluted bolt shaves weight and includes a revised handle and knob shape for easier manipulation. The bolt assembly is treated with a silver nitride finish that is extremely resistant to corrosion.

A lightweight, stainless steel sporter contour barrel offers a great blend of accuracy and weight savings. The muzzle is threaded M13x0.75 to accept the included stainless steel radial muzzle brake, thread protector cap, or install an optional Browning Recoil Hawg Sporter muzzle brake for extra reduction in recoil. The action is bedded and the barrel is free floated for consistent accuracy.

The DLX Trigger is a three-lever design that offers zero creep, zero take-up, and zero overtravel performance and comes preset from the factory at 3.5 pounds. (Adjustable down to 3.0 pounds.)

The stand-out feature is, of course, the black composite Vari-Tech stock. This configurable stock makes it easy to adjust the comb height to dial-in the alignment between your eye and optics. Length of pull is adjusted internally with spacers for a solid, rattle-free feel. Even the grip angle can be changed by switching between the sporter and vertical grip modules. On the subject of grip, contrasting gray rubber overmolding on the gripping surfaces provides added security in all conditions. Coming in at 1-1/4" thick, the new Inflex recoil pad enhances shooting comfort - something you'll certainly notice when sending magnum rounds downrange.

X-Lock Riflescope Mounting System
The X-Lock system uses four screws per base, replacing the traditional two-screw system. The benefits are obvious, with the scope bases being secured at all four corners rather than only held at the center of the base. This allows for more accurate placement of the bases on the receiver. This revolutionary X-Lock system holds the base tighter to the rifle than ever before.
