Many companies produce clothing designed for hunters, but that term -design- is loosely based around the inclusion of camouflage patterns and a few other tweaks to existing outdoor gear products. As well, the functionality of many of these products may work for moderate use but lacks in performance when put to use in the extreme conditions of extended backpack hunts.
So, the team at Stone Glacier started by asking themselves, -What doesnt work about the gear we have been wearing?- and -What are the priorities that are necessary for technical hunting apparel?- Things like camouflage were quickly eliminated as necessities, and problems like exact fit waist and pack-ability of insulation were moved to the top of the problems to solve.
