The 270 Win has similar trajectory to the 30-30 and 30-06 until about the 250 yard mark as far as drop goes it then goes on to out-fly the 30-30. In regards to power this cartridge beats both the .30-30 and the 30-06. So the end result is a round that flies almost as well as the 30-06, better than the 30-30, and has much more of a punch. The round is popular for hunting medium to large game.
