Package Overview:



The mounted combination of this Weatherby Mark V Hunter, the Leupold VX-3HD 4.5-14x40 and Talley rings has been put together with the intent of never missing that short, mid or even long range shot. This "Dialed In" package comes to a whopping 7lbs 2.2oz, and is perfect for the "backcountry hunter" or "bush hunter". Zeroed at 200 yards, this rifle package is incredibly accurate, and had no difficulty hitting the 8" 540 yard gong at our range.




Weatherby Mark V Hunter 6.5 Wby RPM - 24" - Cobalt Cerakote - Granite Speckled Polymer:

The new Mark V Hunter is also fitted with a freshly-designed stock. Echoing the shape and ergonomics of the Mark V Backcountry 2.0 family of rifles that debuted earlier in 2021, the Hunter's polymer stock features the same trim, flat-bottomed forend, ambidextrous palm swells, aluminum pillar construction and is finished in a Granite Speckle.

The Mark V Hunter's barreled action is sealed under a shell of Cobalt Cerakote, shielding it from the elements. A deeply-fluted bolt with removable knob not only trims a little weight and helps clear dust and debris, it also reduces the bearing surface within the action resulting in smoother operation.

Designed to be the world's strongest action, the Mark V has a signature multi-lug bolt system inspired by the interrupted thread style of lockup. Available in both Standard and Magnum action sizes, the Standard employs a six lug design while the beefier Magnum uses nine locking lugs, enabling these actions to safely chamber the hottest commercially-available cartridges on the market. Other safety features include three rings of steel around the base of the cartridge when it's in battery, a fully-enclosed bolt shroud and three gas relief ports in the bolt body to vent pressure in the case of an ammunition failure.




Guaranteed Sub-MoA Accuracy
All Mark V rifles are guaranteed to shoot a 3-shot group of .99 inch or less at 100 yards (SUB-MOA) from a cold barrel when used with Weatherby factory or premium ammunition.

6.5 WBY RPM:

The 6.5 WBY RPM is based on a lengthened version of the existing 284 Winchester. This cartridge has a rebated rim, making it compatible with standard 30-06 bolt faces and reloading equipment. However, the large body diameter, low body taper, and 35-degree shoulder mean that case capacity is greatly increased, leading to higher velocities. In addition, bullet innovation in the 6.5mm category are highly efficient with less drop and wind deflection than many heavier calibers. All these details culminate into a cartridge that delivers 1,500 foot pounds of energy at 500 yards capable of ethically taking big game animals across the globe.
