Unlike traditional intensifier-tube-based NVDs, the Konus KonuSpy-12 5x40 Digital Night Vision Monocular allows you to see in the dark at distances up to 220 yards. It can be used as a regular monocular during the day. This superior feature is made possible by its highly sensitive imaging sensor.
It includes a 5x optical magnification and up to 8x digital zoom, giving you up to 40x power to make precise observations in the middle of the day or total darkness. When no ambient light is present, a built-in infrared (IR) illuminator illuminates the sensor. The larger the IR level is (maximum 9), the greater the viewing distance.
It is best to put the lens cap on the lens when using the Konuspy-12 during the day. This is due to the color filter found in the lens cover. While removing the lens cap during the day is safe, pink images will result if a lens cap with a color filter is not used.
With this nightscope, you may also snap pictures and videos. You can take up to 8GB of images and videos using the memory card with it, and you can view them on the Konuspy-12 itself.
The Konuspy-12 is lightweight and comes with a pouch, wrist lanyard, and carrying strap, making it convenient to carry around.
